Thousands gathered in Capitol Hill's Cal Anderson Park on Saturday morning for Seattle's March for Our Lives. The demonstration was one of the hundreds held across the country in support of stricter gun control laws, including a primary rally held in Washington, DC that attracted crowds in the hundreds of thousands. The DC event featured passionate speeches by several student survivors of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, FL.
In South Seattle, residents gathered in Columbia Park to hold the Rally for Gun Sense and Memorial for Kids Killed by Gun Violence.
