Community: SANCA's Cirrus Circus presents "Wasting Away" Details:Wasting Away tells the exciting and bizarre story of an idyllic small town that is slowly overrun by their accumulation of garbage. Seemingly oblivious to their predicament the town carries on with its joyous and acrobatic daily routine until the problem becomes too big to ignore. Full of humour and heart, this show presents an action-packed tale of conflict, growth, and cooperation that simultaneously offers social commentary and manages not to take itself too seriously.Cirrus Circus is known throughout Seattle as one of the most accomplished circus troupes in the region. The troupe is in demand at many of Seattle's popular festivals and events, including Moisture Festival, Seattle Center's Winterfest, the Georgetown Carnival, and more. Music: Bill Mintz Quartet– Details:Billy has been performing with the band members in various formats for the last thirty years, starting when he moved from New York to Los Angeles in 1981. Billy met the great John Gross at that time along with other great LA jazz musicians playing in Tom Persons' big band. Billy started playing with incredible Putter Smith in Alan Broadbent's Trio in 1989. In 2003 Billy moved back to New York City where he started playing in Roberta Piket's trio. Roberta is a world class pianist, composer, arranger and orchestrator.
