REGISTER TODAY to SAVE A LIFE: Cierra Sisters Cancer Conference, October 8th

Cancer affects more than an individual—its effects can be felt by entire families and communities. As a community, it's time to take charge of our own cancer prevention and protect our loved ones from the devastating effects of this disease.

Saturday October 8, 2016, join Cierra Sisters and partners for a conference about cancer and life-saving cancer prevention.

Ms. Bridgette Hempstead, president and founder of Cierra Sisters along with Fred Hutch Cancer Research and other community partners, is spearheading this important event to raise awareness around cancer prevention and the disproportionate effects of cancer on Black and African-American communities.

While 'cancer' has been a long-feared term associated with death and long, hard-fought medical battles, Hempstead and her army of experts are here to inform us about how to lower our risks of developing cancer and how to overcome this fear for the sake of our families and loved ones.

All are welcome and encouraged to join this event. Event speakers include world- renowned Dr. Kimlin Ashing (City of Hope), Dr. Julie Gralow SCCA-Fred Hutch, Dr. Nora Disis (Tumor Vaccine Group), Dr. Stephen Schwartz (HPV & Cancer Link), and more.

The event is FREE, but pre-registration is required. Please visit here to register.

When: Saturday, October 8th, 2016. (8:00-4:00)

Where: Rainier Beach Community Center, 8825 Rainier Ave. S. Seattle, WA 98118
