Community: Urban Mix 101 presented by Itech 4 Life Solutions– Details: An intro to the fundamentals of Digital Audio Recording and Music production. Students will be familiarized with the Protools(DigiDesign) work environment as well as the Reasons workspace. Students will also be introduced to an analog mixing console and learn how the digital and analog systems correlate in a typical recording environment. Farnell Newton has a long standing history in music education, his own music, as well as the Portland community at large. He has been touring nonstop the past couple of years with Jill Scott, Bootsy Collins, and Jarrod Lawson. Farnell is the founder of FaceBooks Jam of the Week which features a song a week which any and all artists are invited to play their individual interpretation of and all are welcome to comment and give positive criticism. It's quite incredible.
