Community: WHAM Action Party: Fall Cleanup 2016— Details: Join us on Saturday, September 24th for our annual West Hill Action Mob Fall Cleanup. Bring your gloves (and weeding tools, if you like) and join us as we tear up all the horrible weeds invading our new sidewalks on Renton Avenue South in the Skyway Business District. But first, join us at the King County Fire District 20 (in the firehouse) at 9am for some coffee and light snacks, and meet us back there again at noon for some delicious catered lunch from PCC, courtesy of your friends at the West Hill Community Association.WHCA has adopted the stretch of Renton Ave from 7-Eleven to Grocery Outlet, and we need your help to keep it clean.This project is supported in part by a King County Community Service Areas Engagement Grant, and by small donations from neighbors such as yourself. Community: Pumpkin Festival at Sferra Farm in Rainier Beach Details: Family members at this last-of-its-kind farm in Seattle have been growing pumpkins all spring and summer and they are ready for picking! Kids of all ages can pick them directly from the vine and have them loaded into the horse wagon, where they will be delivered to them at their cars in the meadow. Pumpkins range in price from $25 for Cinderella Pumpkins and $75 for the 100 pound Monster Pumpkins. Don't forget to meet the baby goat while you're there!
