Bike Helmet Giveaway and Hydration Station Tomorrow

Published on

Every year 10,000 cyclists race through Rainier Beach along the shores of Lake Washington for the Seattle to Portland Bike Ride. For the second year, volunteers from the Rainier Beach Merchants Association and the local community invite riders to take a pit stop, refill water bottles, and breathe in beauty and hospitality at the Rainier Beach Merchants Association Hydration Station on Seward Park Avenue S.

In addition this year, the Merchants invite local families to a giveaway of 100 kids' bike helmets, and to trick out their bikes and helmets with creative decorating options as well as other family and cycling activities during the event. Bike Works will also be on hand to help parents learn how to fit helmets properly, and to share some no-nonsense safety tips for the growing community of cyclists in Rainier Beach.

The Rainier Beach Merchants Association STP Hydration Station & Helmet Giveaway will take place on July, 11th from 5:30 am to 9am, at Rainier Beach High School, 8815 Seward Park Ave. S., across from Beer Sheva Park. Decorating supplies, coffee, donuts, juice, fruit and energy bars will be provided.
