Phil Manzano

Phil Manzano is a South Seattle writer and editor with more than 30 years of experience in daily journalism in Portland, Oregon. He is director of Southend Connect, a platform to support small business and build community in South Seattle. A San Francisco native, he moved to Seattle in 2013, following his father, Aniceto "Nick" Manzano, who arrived here from the Philippines in 1929. Phil also formerly served as the Emerald's news editor.
