Southend residents will findlimited excusesfor theirThanksgivings not to overflow with cranberry sauce and tryptophan tomorrow as several South Seattle neighborhoods- from West Hill to Hillman City- will be hosting "Turkey Day" community dinners.

Ayanna Brown, who will be putting on her annual Thanksgiving dinner in Skyway to honor the memory of her son Alajawan, takes delight in the opportunity the events provide for community fellowship, especially in tough times.

"With the timing of all that's happened in the world recently it's wonderful to unite as a community by breaking bread, talking with one another, and just enjoying each other's company," shares Brown.
